Careers at ListU
Build a marketplace
that takes trust seriously.
ListU is a structured, operator-governed UK classified marketplace. We are building the trust infrastructure that makes buying and selling genuinely safer — and we need people who care about getting that right.

Who we are
A small team building
serious infrastructure.
ListU is operated by Valentino Platinum Ltd — a registered UK company building a trust-led classified marketplace from the ground up. We are not a growth-at-all-costs startup. We are building a platform with structural integrity: real verification, real accountability, real operator governance.
The team is distributed — with engineering based in Belarus and product and operations in the UK. We work to a formal governance process with documented contracts, preflight specs, and sprint discipline. Standards matter here.
How we work
Standards-led. Remote-first.
Documentation-driven.
Preflight contracts before code
Every significant feature begins with a formal specification — purpose, actor map, state-truth matrix, and acceptance criteria. No implementation without approved design.
Sprint discipline with governance records
We run structured sprints with documented decisions, locked amendments, and workstream closure criteria. Changes require explicit authorization, not informal agreement.
No fake operability
We do not build UI that implies capability the system does not have. If a verification check has no backend, it does not appear as active. Truth in the product is non-negotiable.
Remote-first, time-zone-aware
The team operates across the UK and Eastern Europe. Asynchronous communication by default, synchronous when it matters. Written clarity over verbal assumption.
What we look for
People who care about
getting the details right.
Rigour over speed
We move deliberately. We prefer a slower, correct decision to a fast, wrong one. That applies to code, product, and governance.
Written communication
We document everything. If you cannot explain a decision in writing, it is not yet a decision. Clear written thinking is a core professional skill here.
Ownership and follow-through
Small team means broad responsibility. We expect people to own outcomes, not just tasks — and to close things properly, not leave them half-done.
Honest about limitations
We do not build fake capability. We do not overstate progress. We expect the same from people: honest about what they know, honest about what they do not.
Current openings
No open roles listed
at this time.
We are not currently advertising specific positions. When we hire, we hire deliberately — for a specific gap, with a defined scope, and with a proper selection process.
If you believe you have relevant skills — particularly in full-stack engineering (Laravel, Next.js), product governance, or trust and verification infrastructure — you are welcome to make a speculative application. We review all submissions and respond to those that are genuinely relevant.

Speculative application
Reviewed directly. We respond only to submissions that are genuinely relevant to our current or anticipated needs.
Speculative applications only. No agencies or recruiters.
Working here
High standards.
Real accountability.
Formal governance
All significant decisions are documented. Sprint contracts, CTO amendments, and workstream closures are all recorded.
No performative process
We do not have standups for the sake of standups or retrospectives that produce nothing. Process exists where it adds value.
Compensation
Competitive for the role and market. Equity available for key contributors. We discuss compensation directly and transparently.
Remote-first, genuinely
Not remote-tolerant — remote-first. Processes, documentation, and communication are designed for a distributed team.
